Turn on job alerts

Get a notification on your phone when the office assigns you a visit, and fix alerts that stopped showing up.

Job alerts let you know the moment the office puts you on a visit, so you don't have to keep checking the app.

Turn them on

The app doesn't ask for notification permission on its own. Instead, a Turn on job alerts card appears at the top of Today.

  1. Tap Turn on.
  2. When your phone asks, tap Allow.

Tap Not now if you'd rather skip it. The card won't come back, but you can still turn alerts on in your phone's settings (see below).

What you'll get

You get a New visit assigned alert when someone in the office assigns you to a visit, or adds you to its crew. It shows the customer's name, the date and the arrival window.

Tap the alert to open that visit. The app pulls the latest schedule first.

You won't get an alert for a visit you assigned to yourself.

Turn alerts on later, or off

Alerts are controlled by your phone's settings:

  • iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Homeforce → Allow Notifications.
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Homeforce → Notifications. Homeforce alerts use a "Job alerts" channel.

Alerts stopped arriving

  1. Check that notifications are allowed for Homeforce in your phone's settings.
  2. Open the app once. It re-registers your phone each time it starts, which fixes most missing alerts.
  3. If you signed out and back in, or switched to a new phone, open the app on the new phone so alerts go there.

Alerts go to the phones you're signed in on. When you sign out, that phone stops getting your alerts.
