Use the tech app in a browser
Run your day from your phone's web browser at the Tech app, with the same visit steps, checklists, photos and signatures as the app.
Homeforce has a field version that runs in any phone browser, called the Tech app. Use it if you can't install the mobile app yet, or on a shared tablet. It covers the same visit steps as the app, but it needs a connection.

Open it
- In your phone's browser, sign in to Homeforce with your work email.
- Technicians and subcontractors land on the Tech app automatically. Office users can search for Tech app in the search bar at the top of Homeforce, or go to the
/techpage.
Office users see an Office button in the top bar to get back to the full web app.
Today
The Tech app opens on Today: the date, your stops and how many are left. Tap Clock in to start your shift. While you're on the clock the button shows Clock out and how long you've worked.
Each stop shows the time, status, customer, job, address, stop number and the job type. Tap one to open it.
A visit
The visit page has the same flow as the app, with a big button pinned to the bottom: On my way, I've arrived, Complete visit. After On my way, you'll see "Texted" and the customer's name, confirming the ETA text went out.
Sections on the page:
- Call and Navigate, then Location with a street view, access notes and instructions
- Equipment & history, with equipment age and Past visits at this address
- Checklist: tap Start: and a checklist name, fill it in, then Save or Mark complete
- Photos: tap Add photos, pick Before, During or After, and the project phase if there is one
- Talk it out: record your notes out loud, tap Write notes, then Save to visit to fill in the write-up
- Notes: what you found, the work performed, and recommendations for the customer, then Save notes. Below that, send a note to the office.
- Sell & get paid: AI estimate drafts an estimate from your notes. Invoice starts a new invoice, or Collect opens the open one to take payment.
- Customer sign-off: confirm the name, have the customer sign, and tap Save signature
Differences from the app
- The Tech app needs a signal for every step. Use the mobile app if you work in dead zones. See Work offline.
- Only the Tech app has street view, past visits, Talk it out, AI estimate and the recommendations box.
- Only the mobile app has the Schedule week view, job alerts and offline mode.
