Export your data from ServiceTitan

Where to find every ServiceTitan export (customers, locations, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, pricebook, memberships and equipment) before you move to Homeforce.

Before you switch, pull a copy of everything out of ServiceTitan. Most of your history comes out through Reports, as Excel (XLSX) files that download straight to your computer.

Before you start: custom reports

Most rows above need a custom report. ServiceTitan only lets the Works package (and older, non-packaged accounts) create them, and you need reporting permissions. If you don't see Create Report, ask your ServiceTitan account manager, or ask Homeforce to help.

To build one:

  1. Click Reports in the top menu, then Create Report.
  2. Pick All to see every template, then choose the template from the checklist.
  3. Under columns, select every column.
  4. Click Next, type a Name, pick a Category, and click Save.

Export any report

  1. Click Reports and open the report.
  2. Set the date filter as wide as it goes, so it covers all your history.
  3. Click Run Report.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Choose Export to XLSX. Leave Export only aggregated data unticked.
  6. Click Export. The file downloads.

If the export doesn't start, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups.

Customers

The built-in Customer List report works on every package. Tick Show Inactive Customers before you run it, or it only includes active customers. Its address is the billing address, so also export Locations for service addresses.

You can also export from search: click the Search icon, choose Customers with no filters, click the Expand icon, and pick Export to Excel (*.xlsx).

Pricebook

Administrators and managers can do this.

  1. Click Pricebook in the top menu, then Import/Export in the side menu.
  2. Open the Export tab.
  3. Under Export Type, pick Pricebook (Settings, Materials and Part Link).
  4. Pick a business unit. Repeat for each business unit you use.
  5. Tick Include inactive.
  6. Click Export.

The file has tabs for services, materials, equipment, categories and the links between them.

Service agreements

  1. Click Follow Up, then Service Agreements.
  2. Clear any filters, then click Export.
  3. Choose Excel (*.xlsx) and All columns.

Picking columns may need saved filter views turned on for your account. Your screens may differ; check ServiceTitan's Follow up on service agreements article.

Notes and anything else

We didn't find a report template for notes. ServiceTitan's terms say it will try to export your account data on request after you cancel, that fees may apply, and that it only has to keep your data for 60 days after that. Run every export above while your account is still active.

Then upload the files to Homeforce. See How migration works.

What won't come across

  • Card numbers and bank details held by ServiceTitan's payment processing
  • Saved payment methods (a report can list them, but the card itself stays with ServiceTitan)
  • Call recordings and call history
  • Photos, attachments and signed forms on jobs
  • Notes, unless ServiceTitan exports them for you
