Sales workflows by trade
How HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, remodeling, recurring-route and cleaning companies typically use Homeforce's sales tools.
Homeforce's sales tools are the same for every trade. What changes is how you set up job types, your pricebook and your options. Here's how different trades usually put them together.
HVAC & plumbing
- Calls: CSRs use Book a call for repairs and tune-ups. Customers get a real arrival window, and the tech with the right skills is assigned.
- Replacements: make a sales-appointment job type (for example "System replacement estimate") and mark it Sales opportunity so it lands on the Sales calendar.
- Estimates: use Good, Better and Best with equipment tiers from your pricebook. Members get member pricing automatically. Bigger systems show a monthly payment, and you can prequalify for financing at the kitchen table.
- Equipment: record units, install dates and data-plate photos on each property. Then build a segment like "AC older than 10 years" and send a replacement campaign from Marketing.
Electrical
- Book troubleshooting and small repairs as service calls with arrival windows.
- Quote panel upgrades, EV chargers and rewires as estimates with options, for example a standard panel against an upgraded panel with surge protection.
- Use Duplicate on an option to build tiers fast, and set a Deposit % for jobs where you order materials up front.
Painting
- Run walk-throughs as sales appointments with an exact time for the estimator.
- Build options by scope (walls only, walls and trim, full interior) and use the option description to spell out prep and coats.
- Book sold work as a crew job across several crew days. See Book an appointment.
Roofing
- Inspections book as sales appointments. Mark the job type Sales opportunity so close rates are tracked.
- Quote options by material line (for example three shingle grades) and require a deposit on approval.
- Book installs as crew days, or set big jobs up as projects. See Jobs vs. projects.
Remodeling & restoration
- Track each inquiry on the Leads board, with an owner, a sales rep and an estimated value.
- Use the Commercial pipeline for property managers and insurance-driven work.
- Run larger jobs as projects, and use deposits to fund materials.
- Use present mode for design meetings so the homeowner can sign on the spot.
Landscaping, lawn, pool & pest (recurring routes)
- Let customers book online for first visits, and limit it to the ZIP codes your routes cover.
- Quote recurring service with options (for example monthly against quarterly visits), then sell a maintenance plan. See Memberships. Members get their member prices on future estimates.
- Use segments like Days since last service to win back customers who've gone quiet.
Cleaning
- Use online booking and Book a call for one-time cleans with arrival windows.
- Price by scope in your pricebook (per room, per square foot, add-ons) and offer tiered options like standard, deep and move-out.
- Turn repeat customers into memberships, and ask for reviews automatically after each paid invoice from Settings → Reviews.
